Learn-2-Skate Program

  Top of page

Welcome to Wintersport Ice Sports Arena's Learn-2-Skate (L-2-S), program.

L2S was created to assist children and adults of all ages to learn how to skate.
Many of the students who participate in the L2s program continue though the higher skating levels.

In addition, other students enroll in the instructional hockey programs at Wintersport and continue onto the Royals Youth Hockey program. The L2S classes are taught by professional ice skating instructors certified by the Ice Skating Institute, (ISI) and/or by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) or U.S.A. Hockey.

When enrolled in the L2S classes, you can bring your own skates.
Skate rental is included in the program for those who do not have their own skates.

Classes are 1/2 our and includes 1/2 hour to practice.

Parent passes are available for an additional $30
Parent passes enable parents to skate while their children are taking lessons & also during practice.

Helmets are required for children under 6 and recommended for all.

Please remember that the ice rink is very cold.  Wear warm clothing and mittens or gloves.
